Sunday School

We welcome all children from infant through 8th grade. Classes are held each Sunday morning during the 10:00am worship service. Our classes go from September until June. Every Sunday the children leave the 10:00am service after "Children′s Story Time" and follow the teachers to their classrooms. Sunday school is designed to educate and nurture the children as they grow in the Christian faith. Children will remain with adult teachers until parents pick them up at the conclusion of the service.

Mission
This is an exciting and growing ministry! First United Methodist Church and the Ministry Team provide our children the learning opportunities in which they experience church as a fun place to hear and learn about God.

Nursery

We offer childcare for infants through children age 4 years old. Our nursery is supervised by loving adult volunteers who watch the children. They interact with each child with music, playtime, stories and videos.

Elementary Ministries

The elementary ministries are designed for Grades K-4. During Sunday school, children sing songs, learn Bible stories and Biblical truths through creative object lessons, and then participate in discussions helping them apply what they have learned to their daily lives.  There are many opportunities for children to ask questions throughout the "kid- friendly" lessons.

Youth Ministries

The youth ministry of First United Methodist Church is designed for students in grades 5-8. Our primary focus is building positive¸ Christ-centered relationships with youth and adult leaders while providing a wide variety of opportunities for youth to encounter Christ.  

Our programs are "purpose-driven¸" which means that we seek to meet students wherever they are in their faith journey and encourage them to grow.
