Serving Our Community And World In Christ's Name
Welcome to the Kitchen!

A lot goes on here throughout the year, and the more people who get involved, the better.

Fellowship Coffee
After the 10:30 Sunday Service, take a minute to meet everyone.  Volunteers are needed to set up the coffee makers and put the snacks on trays.  Everyone can help make sure the Fellowship Hall is clear of dishes, cups, and trash afterwards.  A free will donation is welcome, but not required.

Free Community Dinners
Normally the First Sunday, but occasionally the Second Sunday of the month, we invite everyone in the area to dinner.  Check our Newsletter for up to date information.   Some people in our community could really use a nice meal in good company.  The menu varies, and volunteers make it possible.  There are many ways to help:  Preparing food, shopping, setting the tables, getting the word out, clearing up, and helping to serve. Take out boxes are available.  We know there are people who are unable to leave home, for whatever reason.   A free will donation is welcome, but not required.
Donations given are used to defray costs of the dinner as well as support local needs through the Ticonderoga Area Clergy Association.

Easter Breakfast
After the Sunrise Ecumenical Service at Fort Ticonderoga, come have a lovely breakfast among friends.  Chef Bunny annually rallies his troops to prepare a 7am breakfast.  A free will donation is welcome, but not required.

Adult Fellowship Potluck Dinner
This monthly event lets adults gather to share a program of interest and a potluck meal.  Do you have an idea for a program?  Past programs have included shared pictures from travels, game night, favorite songs, local history, and more.  Rolls and desserts are provided by volunteers, and everyone contributes to the main meal. Normally the fourth Monday of the month (during the school year), check the Newsletter for the most current details.

This annual fundraising event always makes the whole building smell great.  We hope to see you in November!  November 7, 2017.

Church Christmas Fair Luncheon
The Annual Christmas Fair fills both floors of the church.  The Fellowship Hall is a lovely place for a luncheon.  The menu normally features soup & sandwiches with fabulous desserts.  In recent years, a light lunch of 1/2 sandwich with soup has also been offered.  Tickets will be available at the door on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  Check for updates closer to November.

Yard Sale and Flea Market Cook Outs
Delicious smells fill the side yard when we host our Yard Sales.  Michigan sauce, hot dogs, beverages, baked goods, and other picnic foods are normally sold by one of the church groups.

Do you want to use our facilities to host your event?
Call or email the office for details.  Please remember that this is a smoke free and alcohol free property.

Kitchen Prayer

Lord of all pots and pans and things,
Since I've no time to be
A saint by doing lovely things
or watching late with Thee,
Or dreaming in the dawn's light
Or storming Heaven's Gates,
Make me a saint by getting meals
And washing up the plates.

For though I must have Martha's hands,
I have a Mary mind,
And when I black the boots and shoes,
Thy sandals, Lord, I find.
I think of how they trod the Earth
What time I scrub the floor,
Accept this meditation, Lord,
I haven't time for more.

Warm all the kitchen with Thy love,
And light it with Thy peace.
Forgive me all my worrying
And make my grumbling cease.
Thou who didst love to give men food
In room or by the sea
Accept this service that I do,
I do it unto Thee.
